The customer wants to migrate card information stored in a USA ePay account vault to the Payment Profile record and start charging the card using the Spreedly connection.
To facilitate the migration, a new field will be added to the Payment Profile:

Spreedly External Token

For Spreedly connection, this is the token identifying the payment method at the external gateway.

Migration Process

Import Card Information

The user will import (data load) the card details into the Payment Profile.

Populate the Spreedly External Token field with the USA ePay token.

Tokenize Profiles

Navigate to the Payment Profile List View.

Select profiles to tokenize in Spreedly.

Click the Tokenize Profiles button.

The system will run a batch job, executing the following steps for each profile:
a. Make an API call to Spreedly to create a new payment method using the Spreedly External Token.
b. Retrieve the response containing the Spreedly-specific payment method token pointing to the payment method in the USA ePay vault.
c. Store the Spreedly token in the Payment Profile Token field and clear the Spreedly External Token field.

Utilize the Payment Profile

The Payment Profile can now reference and operate against the payment method stored in the USA ePay environment.
