Improved SEC Code Handling for eCheck Transactions

To support more accurate eCheck (ACH) processing across all payment processors, we've introduced two new configurable fields in the Payment Processor settings.

Updated 2 days ago

These fields allow the system to pass the appropriate SEC Code based on the type of bank account used:

  • Default SEC Code for Business Checking

  • Default SEC Code

These new settings ensure that the correct SEC Code is used when processing ACH transactions, whether the account is a business or personal (checking/savings) account.

This update helps prevent transaction errors, such as those previously seen when using a SEC Code that wasn't valid for certain account types.

These changes apply to all processors that support eCheck payments.
