CyberSource Unified Checkout

CyberSource Unified Checkout

Last updated on 04 May, 2026

Overview

CyberSource Unified Checkout is designed to simplify your payment process while significantly reducing your PCI DSS compliance requirements.

By using this feature, merchants can qualify for PCI SAQ A, the lowest level of compliance burden.

How does it work?

Instead of processing sensitive payment data on your server, Unified Checkout uses a secure, hosted JavaScript widget embedded directly into your checkout page. This widget handles all payment data, such as credit card details, and sends it directly to CyberSource’s secure servers.

This means:

Sensitive data never touches your system
Your risk and compliance scope are greatly reduced
You can provide a secure and seamless checkout experience
