Partial Payments

Prior to this release, partial payments are achieved using down payments and installments. On the invoice you can specify the required down payment or put the invoice on a payment plan. Your customers will then have the option to pay the required down payment or the installment. These existing features are great if partial payments are known in advance. But in some instances, your customers can ask to pay a different amount, which then requires you to adjust the down payment or installment based on the amount they are requesting.

 

With this release, you now have the option to enter any partial amount, as shown below:

Note that your customers cannot enter the partial amount in the online payment page themselves. We believe that you should control and approve the amount of payment your customers are allowed to pay, which means they have to get in touch with you and you enter the payment for them.

  • Revolving Balance Enhancement – as appropriate, balances of partially paid invoices will also be carried over to the latest invoice
  • Email me a copy of invoice – when sending invoices, you can choose to send a copy to yourself. This option is on (checked) by default. With this release, you can now control the default value for this option.
